This is the official website for Ryan Van Wagenen and family. The Van Wagenen family is originally from a small town in the Netherlands called Wageningen. In Dutch, “van” means from and since the name of the town was difficult to spell, the last name would evolve over time to “Van Wagenen.” Much of the family left Europe and arrived in the Eastern United States in the mid 1600s looking for opportunity and freedom. In the early 1800s, part of the family traveled west toward California. Some 180 years later, Ryan was born in Los Angeles, California in the 1980’s to Felicia and Ken Van Wagenen. Ryan is a firm believer that family and great friends are everything. As the Internet is one of the most powerful tools for communication, this site was created to keep the Van Wagenen’s connected with family and friends.
