Van Wagenen Family and the Los Angeles Auto Show

Growing up in Los Angeles, Ryan Van Wagenen and the rest of the Van Wagenen family went to the Los Angeles Auto Show each year.  This was a tradition that was started by his father, Ken Van Wagenen when Ryan was about 8 and Melissa was just 4 years old.

The Los Angeles Auto Show is held each December for 10 days and fills nearly 800,000 square feet in the convention center downtown.  The auto show began over 100 years ago and is one of the great annual traditions in LA.  In 2017, the convention center highlighted cars made by the Aria Group FXE, BMW, Chevrolet, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes, Porsche, Range Rover, Saleen, Subaru, Volkswagen, and many others.

Most auto shows occur on an annual or semi annual basis.  Some of the most famous car shows worldwide are in Frankfurt, Geneva, Detroit, Paris, and Tokyo.  The auto shows are known as the "Big Five" and are some of the most important public relations opportunities for car manufacturers and dealerships.
